History of Service, Tradition of Quality
Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, St. Agatha Academy is the oldest private school in Winchester, Ky. Over the years, St. Agatha has been a boarding school, grade school and high school. But across many decades and roles, our school has continued to prosper, holding true to its founding mission of providing spiritual and academic training to nurture the whole child. Today, it is the parish school of St. Joseph Catholic Church, but many non-Catholic families choose to send their children to St. Agatha. Anyone with an interest and passion for quality education will find a supportive, welcoming community committed to learning.

Take a Tour
After you’ve explored the St. Agatha website, you’ll probably want to see the school itself, and we’d love to show it to you. At your convenience, you can watch a specially created video about our community. Then, when you’re ready, we also invite you to schedule a private tour of our campus with Principal John Pica as your guide. Your personal tour will include a visit to classrooms, the library, our technology lab, and don’t forget our “wall of fame” where we post articles and pictures about St. Agatha students, parents and teachers. Just contact us at (859) 744-6484 or jpica@cdlex.org to schedule a visit.
